Kato N Scale Loco and coupler and sound questions?

I am looking at this loco: http://www.modeltrainstuff.com/Kato-N-C44-9W-p/kat-1763514-1.htm and I have no experience with KATO. All my rolling stock uses Mchenry couplers so I am thinking I would need to switch out the couplers? Anyone have any experience with switching couplers and KATO’s?

Also if I wanted to add sound could I add it or would I be better buying a non decoder equipped version and adding my own decoder and sound. I am using the NCE Powercab unit.

I have athearn locos now so this would be my first non-athearn loco, my athearns have the tsunami sound and decoders and I have been pleaseed with them so far so I am curious on how they compare to KATO’s

I am not sure what brand of coupler Kato uses, but it should be compatible with your McHenry couplers.
