Kato N Scale SD70ACe Rio Grande Heritage

This was worth the wait. I have put in a MRC sound chip and it is great. This locomotive pulls car around my T-Trak traveling layout with ease and has not derailed once in 2 Shows Keep up the good work.

KATO has done its customary spectacular job in faithfully capturing the prototypes. I only question UP’s real motives for issuing these fallen flag schemes.
Having done so, UP could have done a better job in applying Katy, Western Pacific, Missouri Pacific and Rio Grande schemes that more accurately honor these great railroads.

I purchased 4 of the UP SD70ACe in the standard colors. As anticipated, these are smooth powerful locos: am currently testing them MU’d in high speed intermodal service. They replaced a lash-up of 3 SD90MAC/2SD60M on a mainline with
grades approaching 2.5% and give superior performance both uphill and down.
Nice looking, great running and cutting edge modern!

I purchased the Rio Grande Heritage & a flag UP SD70ACe, and they are really fantastic. The detail is exceptional, they run great and are up to Kato’s usual quality. I already have the other 5 heritage on order, and if they come out with the other roads that are using the SD70ACe I will buy those too. Keep up the good work Kato.

I personally have 2 locos and not only are they silk smooth, but very dependable

Usual Kato excellence. I think these will outperform the economy too. Going to buy a few and put 'em away for a rainy day.

I just got one today and it has by far the best deataling and excellence that I tought it wolud come with and it runs at slower speeds and huals longer trains than my atlas locomotives can handel by far the pride and joy of my layout

Wow, great reviews of a great model. Now if only Kato would only release the unit in QNS&L. I’d purchase two to work my Iron ore trains.
