Kato nscale unitrak conversion to flex track

I currently have a layout with kato nscale unitrak but I am ready to advance to laying some flex track. seems like I read in a model railroader issue that the best conversion track to use when going from kato nscale unitrak is atlas code 80 flex track. Could someone set me straight on this. II want to make sure I get things close the first time. any help is appreciated. thx dave

I’m quite sure that is correct. Kato makes the transition piece, but I think you can just take the Unijoiners off one piece and replace them with regular joiners, but I haven’t tried it to say for sure.

Works fine[:D]

heyy there im keith umm im 13 so i dont know alot but i kn ow enough too guide you in the right direction. i bought a uni track bridge but i was planning on taking the joiners off. it works great im currently building a 4x6 1/2 and i used the bridge. umm i suggest if you do wanna convert then definitly use code 80 atlas track. at my lhs it goes for about 2.95 a piece that is 3 ft. its very easy too work with! the only track ive used and the best track in my opinion. well keep in touch and let us all know how its going

thnx!
