Can anyone let me know where to get a replacement lower gearbox cover for a KATO SD70 MAC. I broke one of the tabs that holds the sideframe on while trying t lube the gears. I’ve noticed with other KATO models the same problem is present. I ralize one can lube from the top which requires removing the body shell but you cannot get gear lube into the case only the screw drive. Have gone t the KATO website but never see this part available. Have tried calling to no avail.

Have you tried looking on ebay, sometimes you’ll see the enire truck assembly up for bids or on a buy it now type sale (if you aren’t adverse to buying the whole assembly). Or if you prefer check some of the online dealers for parts (sorry I can’t recommend any off hand).
