I own this beautiful loco mine is a phase IV #134 it runs quite well except at high speeds…it tends to get noisey. It is quiet at speeds up to 60 smph on DC. Its smooth running loco otherwise. My Sinclair-style radio antenna broke off rather easily when it was handled to much :frowning: the front mu hoses were rather hard to put on thanks to the snow plow but i have a trick. The trick is to completely remove the front pilot and coupler GENTILY wedge a tooth pick in the plow. The rest was a breeze

this an edit: phase IV #134 this is not correct it is actually Amtrak Phase V #134. also id like to point out it has now been broke in she is deffinatly a Kato, Strong Smooth, and Quiet! also a new grade 5 Stars!

Rather it’s rumbling down a bumpy poorly joined secondary or flying down the ballasted unitrack maineline, this engine packs a punch. It pulls my superliner trainset without difficulty.

I have all the paint schemes that were offered - Hoping there will be more offerings in the future. This is a great streamlined loco that looks good pulling American or Euro coaches.

This locomotive is made by Kato and is sold by them for $100. It is worth the money. The couplers are realistic, it’s DCC ready, very fine details, and has a DCC-ready chassis. It is ready for sound with an MRC decoder.

this train looks great running on kato’s double track next to my GG-1. this train runs smoothly and quietly.

this loco is a beautiful peace of work i love it how mush is it. (i am from australia and i am 10)
