KCS 2027 GP38-2 "Belle"

KCS 2027 has been sighted with the “Belle” paint scheme.

Somehow I think #2027’s still a GP38-2 and hasn’t been rebuilt as an ECO.

This GP38-2 was previously ghost white.

The newest photo of #2027 still as a ghost was dated 9/24/2010, so I’d say it was recently repainted.

Since it appears to still have the paper air filter box(were the turbo exhaust would normally go), I suspect it would be still have a non-turbo 645 power plant. ex-CN GP40W and old SD40-2 units have been used for the 710ECO project in the past. At least one of the GP40W(now GP22ECO-M) has the 710ECO Re-Power logo on the long hood.
