I have a gentleman that I work with from Cincy that is going through some hard times right now. They have found a mass on his (?) pancreas(?). His body rejected the first stint they put in and he had another put in today. He has been in some pretty bad pain for the last week.He is to have his talk with the doctors on Thursday to see when they will do surgery. They caught it in pretty good time, but they will not know the extent until surgery. Right now they don’t know.
He is a big railfan. CNW is his RR. He grew up in Chicago. He also models extensivley also. Works part time at a hobby shop helps him out modeling as well.
Just keep him in your prayers that he is taken care of. Whatever the outcome may be we should be able to rejoice that He will take care of him.
I know that it will cheer him up to see this while he is away at the hospital.
To all the forum members, thank you all for being so kind.

P.S. thanks for all the pics Joe. I do appreciate them.
My switchman helper had cancer in his pancreas.
The key word is had…
He is on his feet switching cars, lineing switches and tieing hand brakes 8 hours a day.
Tell you friend that this can be beat, you can win.
Hope your friend knows what a good friend he has there.
Pancreatic cancer is rough. I have lost a number of friends and relativers to it over the years. It can be a very fast moving affliction. Glad to hear that Ed knows of someone who has beaten it. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a positive outcome.
Look at Cancer as a boxcar with a bad Journal and is going to be shunted into
the siding of history and away from life.the Lord is your Yard master whom will
give you green lights to the future.
Sorry to hear about your friends condition , I have a good friend that is going through the same thing right now. Keep thinking POSITIVE about the healing process & NEVER give up. It’s never an easy thing to deal with. You are in our prayers… GOD BLESS…
