Kentucky Railway Museum celebrates 60th anniversary

We did this excursion recently. It was a trip well worth taking and, at least in summer, it seemed every one of the cars and seats were packed, a strong affirmation. Lots of groups of all ages.

Great organization and key part of RR history in Kentucky and nation. Family atmosphere and wonderful for families with children and multiple volunteer opportunities. See more about them at www.kyrail.org

Great time of the year for a train ride!
The volunteers are welcoming, hospitable, and go our of their way to help you have a great time. So much history here - the original Lebanon Branch of the L&N Railroad, the oldest part of the entire railroad, and now the are fundraising to bring #152, a 4–6-2 Pacific built in 1905 into steam again.
And to be able to offer a 22 mile round trip excursion - not many museums are fortunate enough to own that much railroad.
