We wanted it to be clear to all the children that we were not paticipating this year.
For about a week afterward, people walking by would tell me how much they missed us this year.
We always make the kids as happy as we possibly can.

We did not have to put any notice up regarding trick or treaters.
Nobody was allowed out unless it was an emergency.

Yeah I feel your pain - Halloween is my favorite holiday. The little kids in the neighborhood had a parade around dusk and we did a socially distanced trick or treat in the street - we then left a table with some treats out on the curb…
Usually we have tombstones and skeletons and caskets etc…nothing this year…

If I have to go two years without seeing dozens of happy/excited little kids I will be very sad.
