That is your HO & mine is far different then yours. Ever hear the term what is good for the goose is good for the gander? That is exactly what posters are doing between the Depot thread & the UP or SP or whatever thread being made that you do not approve of.

It’s not an opinion. Read any dictionary, and I’m sure that you’ll find a spoof is a light parody of another work, or life in general. Classic examples are: the movies Top Secret and Airplane, anything from Monty Python, and threads mocking the existence of the other “Everybody” threads. Since the Depot Diner and Coffee Shop is advertised as:

"Several of the other forums have a “coffee shop” where people “chat” just like they would over a cup of coffee. Now this isn’t my idea, I am borrowing it from the “other” forums and starting it here. Several other people have said we need it here in this forum so I will go ahead and start it.

There is no set topic. However, trains, food, and everything under the sun seem to be talked about. Just post whatever is on your mind. So grab a stool, have a cup of coffee, and just chat away.

It was also suggested that Mookie be the waitress. I have a feeling that even though she does like to chat that she probally has no desire to be the waitress. But I bet she might like a cup of coffee or sip on a hot tea. Every now and then I think a hot tea with honey is a good thing, but for the most part just bring me a cup of good old regular coffee, no cream, no sugar, just plain, hot coffee. Coffee is my cup of tea. [:D] [;)] [:D]"

I hardly think that it qualifies as a spoof. It’s not mocking anything else. It’s existing merely as a place to participate in light discussion on this forum. If you can randomly redefine terms to meet your pledged hatred for that thread, I suggest that I be allowed to redefine your attempts to promote your poorly organized website full of dull, hackneyed, back-lit and generally uninteresting “photographs” as toxic refuse. It doesn’t necessarily meet the classic definition of toxic refuse, but if we’re going to start redefining the English language anytime it suits our position, then why not?

I suggest you give up on your personal crusade against the DD&

Chris, He’s just ticked off because the diner is a social thread and he has no social skills. He is very talented at makeing useless posts though. I’m guessing he rode at the back of the short bus.
