don’t know what i like more- the layout or the soundtrack! great job!

thanks, real nice layout, nothing like steam era fright train and blues music what a great combination you have a lot of realism in layout and a lot of hard work. a mighty nice piece of railroading!!!

Well Done, a true model railroader

Very nice layout-realistic-great scenery–soundtrak is ecellent-era is well portayed–

WOW! Well done loved the detail that was present and the soundtrack. I thought the scenery transition to backdrops was great also.

One of the finest video I’v seen. saw mill and swim scenes brought me in.

Great. It is FANTASTIC!!! Of all the layouts I’ve ever seen, this one takes the cake. I’m think I might start taking note on these butes. In short terms…spot on!
Catchin’ an express,

WOW! Hot & steamy. One of the best and well done.

Captured the local flavor right down to the country church. I watched it twice to make sure I didn’t miss any of the details.

Ah, an artist at work: the scene setting, the eye for design and detail, weathering as if by Mother Nature. The backdrop behind Garlett’s farm makes a perfect transition to the “real” railroad up front, giving that extended scene wonderful depth. And the figures positioned in natural ways, their presence not marred by glossy, brightly painted clothing or shiney orange and yellow faces.

I envy the patient, steady hand that created this layout, along with the mind that saw it all before it was built, right down to the line’s slogan, “The Magnolia Route”. While I for one would be happy just to hear that steaming loco without Delta Blues trying to keep up, I will buy a ticket from Mr. Powers to ride along through his website to see more of this triple decker.

This is a dandy. It looks so real. It must be set in the late 1950s.

it is always great to see an extreamly well shot vidio of a fantastic looking layout, and the blues background was a crowning touch. BRAVO!!!

An excellent railroad. I am amazed at the attention to detail, the great weathering, and great scenery. How to make some of the great trees seen on this layout would be a good article. Thank you for sharing your layout, it’s an inspiration.

great

It was difficult not to believe that the video clips shown were not videos of the real thing. The saw mill was extremely realistic. A super display.

The only way this layout could be more realistic is if the people moved. Holy Cow! Incredible job.

Incredible. Layouts like this are just so impressive. Where does one find the time even if one has the ability?

Ok! Now I have seen the best! The sound and smoke really added to the realism along with the real photos as backdrop! In this day I am still surprised at how many paint there backdrops. Even the best artist can’t match photography. Absolutely the best !

Hands down, the most realistic layout I’ve seen. I visited Cliff several years ago before he built the 3rd level. A super railroad by a super-nice guy who models a section of the country that is (sadly) seldom modeled. I want to go back again as it is worth the 500 miles to get there.
