is there any other manufactuar other than Micro-Trains that makes these couplers in Nguage?[%-)]
I know that Accumate couplers are used on a lot of Atlas loco’s and cars so they might be available off the shelf. Might be worth a look.

Accumates are the next prevalent (and compatible with MT) knuckle coupler in N-scale. They are sold through Atlas but do appear as OEM on other manufacturers cars. They can be purchased as part of a whole truck in three different truck styles. Here’s a list from an on-line source for reference:

There are other types of knuckle couplers that are not as common, and I’m aware of only one that is offered as a stand alone product – Unimates by Red Caboose. Not sure how well they work:

Kato makes knuckle coupler too, and you might be able to order it as a part. Not sure if they are meant to replace couplers on non-Kato equipment.
Unimates are a non-operating (ie. dummy) coupler. They are compatable with (that is can be coupled to) MT and Accumates.
The T shank type can be used to replace Rapido’s (using the origional coupler pockets) on many older cars and locomotives. Thee used to have a type with screw holes for body mounting.
I have them on some cars in my collection on cars where there was no suitable MT. They are also useable as a cheap conversion between cars that are always run in blocks.
cheers all for info so much to learn.
