KW Transformer and Legacy Command Set Compatibility

I just bought a Legacy Command Set and Vision Line Diesel. I want to run it off of my KW Transformer. I know I need a transient voltage suppression system to protect the engine from a short during derailment. Where do I buy a TVS and how do I hook it up?
