The Los Angeles Times had an article in yesterday’s paper about model railroading. click here to acess it
“Train hobbyists show what gets them steamed up”
Why are newspaper headlines always so laaaaaaaame? [:P]

It’s hard to write well when you are looking down your nose at the subject of your article.

AT least they showed some serious modelers, and did not portray them an creepy or weird for being grown men ‘playing with trains’
In the first article the modler is quoted as saying the he does not know of any other seventeen year old modlers. Sad comment for the hobby.
I met up with Bob Grech and Marty Bradley on Saturday for this tour. Told my wife it would only be a couple of hours and turned into six!
Too bad they (LA Times) didn’t post pics, some of the layouts were pretty slick. I know Marty has some pics, maybe he can post up the link for all to see.
Here is a link to photos from the tour:
Allan Wallace - Goldfield & Hangtown
Rick Graves - Tehachapi Loop
Pasadena Model Railroad Club - Sierra Pacific Lines
