L&N cabooses

Does anyone have information on L&N cabooses? I would like to model a caboose, but I am not sure when they used the gray with red letters or the red with yellow letters schemes. I would also like to find data on measurements.

John,
Wood or steel ? The big woody and little woody (nickname for L&N’s
wood caboose’s) have been done in resin and brass. The L&N steel homebuilts
have been imported in brass.The Walthers bay window came out in L&N/FL gray.
Could be painted red with yellow lettering. L&N had a few northeastern cabooses
from TC and the ex Monon cabooses. Also check out the L&N Historical Society
for more information.

The L&N used the grey with red letters from the time these cabooses were built until about 1970, when the road adopted the red with yellow letters. This scheme would be the norm until the 1977 introduction of the Family Lines paint scheme. During the 1970’s, some of these cabooses were renumbered into 2- and 3-digit number series to reflect their assignment to local or transfer service.
