L&N Passenger car spotted

This morning at work I saw the Chicago to Cincinnati Amtrak go past the shop. I must have been running late as it normally goes throuh town very very early in the morning. The really strange thing was the last car. A smooth sided passenger car in fresh blue paint badged L&N.

I know the L&N railroad has been gone for more than a few years. Any Ideas what that was about? Could it have something to do with the NMRA conventinion next week?

That is what it looked like. I only saw it for a few seconds but I am sure it had the L&N markings on it.

There are many Railroad museums south of indiana/ohio that have L&N passenger cars.
