Asking about painting depth for a lake, I’ve finally completed the scene.

This is the lakehouse part of the village of the fictional Lakeforest. I added trees BEHIND the tracks to separate the view of the industrial part of Lakeforest, so all you see is this tranquil, calm scene. Enjoy!
