Hi, Been trying for years to determine what prototype Lambert Associates used for their HO brass RPO car. The paperwork in the box only indicated an “Eastern Protoype”. It is very close to the old HO Athearn heavyweight RPO. Both are unique in having 5 windows rather than the typical 3. Does anyone know the prototype for either of these cars? The Lambert car was produced more than twenty years ago. The Athearn car has been out at least that long.
Is the model a Heavyweight or the lightweight car? if it’s the Heavyweight, it’s either a B&O car or NYC? If it’s the lightweight car, then it’s the ATSF 80 class car
