In the March issue of MR, there is an article about car loads. Pictured is a large scale Caterpillar 2-ton crawler. Does anyone know where I can purchase one? My father used to own one of these, and as a kid we took it to several antique tractor shows, before finally selling back to Caterpillar for display in the corporate headquarters in Peoria Ill. Dad now has Altzheimers, and I thought it would be really neat for him to have a replica of his old tractor, to help stimulate his long term memory a bit more.
Any info leading to a hobby shop that has one in stock would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Can’t help with the CAT , sorry to hear about your dad, the pics on your web site are brilliant, your kids are very lucky my 2 sons have the train bug, were planning a logging railroad for them under my BN layout in the garage, take care
It might be a Norscot scale model, a company licensed by Caterpillar that is making different sizes of scale equipment. Check their Web site at http://www.norscot.com
I think the caption mentions that it is an out of production Ertl model. You might need to search eBay for it, or maybe find a store somewhere that has some old stock.

Found one on ebay,5 hours to go,keeping my fingers crossed!!!
Good luck. Given the reason you are trying to obtain this model, this is one of those cases where I would bid high, not caring if I paid over retail.
