Hi all! Can anyone recommend somewhere in Las Vegas to watch cargo trains this Wednesday? We’re looking for a schedule or specific times and locations that the trains will be passing through. Can someone please help? Thank you so much!
Freight trains do not run on accurate schedules. Even passenger schedules are not reliable. The best thing to do is hang around the Amtrak station or other locations near the tracks and see what comes along.
This was a while ago, but we stayed at a hotel right near the “Fremont Street Experience” (which is pretty cool by the way). A block west of the west end of the Experience is a three track railroad line. I was able to get a few pics there, but as mentioned it’s more luck than anything.
Main Street Station Hotel and Casino has a railroad theme and some rooms look right over the mainline. Just northwest of the Fremont Experience.
