Some last words
1: I know that spur ends close to the edge of the bench work but I don’t need a
bumper, I don’t push cars to the end.
2: I think I can make that grade a little steeper.
3: If I try more speed the cars should couple this time.
4: I know that it hard to reach but it is just plain track and I won’t need to do
anything there.
5: I will do a temp repair and redo it later. (some of my temp repairs are old
enough to vote)
6: I don’t need a safety on the lift out sections I allways remember to put it in.
7: I don’t need another brace the bench work should not sag there.
8: That duck unders a little low but should not be a problem. (usualy said
just before going to the ER with back and head injuries)
Thanks for confessing all your sins…
Watch how good this super glue solvent works honey…
No, i’m only bringing $20.00 to the train show, probably won’t find anything anyway…
I’m sure that will still be on the table for sale when i get done looking around…
Why make the benchwork able to be broken down by the water heater? It’s got 15 more years in it easy…
What does the red light on the throttle mean? And why is it hot???
And the all time favorite…WHO’S GOT MY TRAIN???/
I guess i’ll go digital,
I’ll run my trains with my computor,
Wow, wish I had more space,
GOSH, those train simulation guys really got the bomb!
1:No, Christopher, it’s not nice to ride your trycicle into the benchwork on grandpa’s train.
2:Has anyone seen the caboose? I KNOW I hooked it up to the train–wait a minute, anyone seen the CAT?
3: (On the phone to hobby shop). Wow, it IS? Just got it IN? New BLI? Reserved one for ME? I’ll be RIGHT DOWN! (To wife): Honey, I’ve got to run down to the hobby shop, I seem to have run out of scenery glue. Uh–have you got the Mastercard?
i have a few.
to my mom before i leave for a show: (mom) how much are you bringing? remember to save some for your cell phone and car payments? (me) only $75, the last one drained my funds.
also to my mom while in the hobby shop: (mom) how long is this going to take? you know you want to get home for the football game. don’t you already have one of those? remember to save money for your cell phone and car payments. (me) don’t worry, i’m getting paid in a week, i’ll be fine. it will only be a few more minutes, i think i saw something in the Athearn kit sections. hey, do you have money to buy these 4 magazines and that kit?
my mom when finding out i bought a building off ebay: (me)i got another building today. (mom) where did you go to get this? you went the the hobby store by yourself? (me) nope, ordered it off ebay, only $33, saved myself like $5.
just a few i heard yesterday and today.
Here are some favorites of mind…
1.I don’t need a NMRA wheel gauge.
2.I can put a Athearn BB kit together in 5 minutes.
3.I don’t have the time.
4.A layout is never finished
5.Oh I don’t adjust my KD couplers they are ok from the factory.
And my all time favorite advertising statement and proDCC statement
Run your trains and not your track…
Funny I never knew track could be ran.Silly me.[:D]
I"ve only got 36 locomotives Dear! (43 at last count)
I just bought a set of GO transit bombardier cars on ebay because they have a cool paintscheme
some of my equipment still has cheesymate couplers
I’ll paint the kitchen tomorrow dear, just gotta fini***his…
$1,500.00 for that old brass locomotive, “no, it’s not THAT much for an old train Marge”
During the planning phase:
Mostly 24" radius curves with a few 22" thrown in because that’s all that will fit will be OK. I’m only going to run small locomotives and short cars.
That curved turnout on a grade will be OK, I’ll be real careful installing it.
I can save a lot of money by using twin pole switch machines instead of Tortoises.
My personal favorite, based on experience: " I know what John Armstrong said, I’ve read his book, But . . . . "
Have Fun,
Tom Watkins
