Has anyone built this turntable? I’m interested in this turntable for my narrow gauge module Salina.
I think this is a nice kit following the prototype at Laws.

I’m also interested. Has anyone modified it to accommodate On30? -Tom
Wolfgang,
I have scratchbuilt a gallows style turntable. The kit looks good but it doesn’t appear to have the linkage or pit included. The bridge is the easy part. It is the linkage and the pit that I found to be more problematic.
If it were my project, I would use some drawings and scratcbuild the bridge. Jack Burgess published some drawings for the El Portal turnable (very close to the Laws design) in a recent NGSL Gazette. It could be easily modified to fit your situation. I believe there are also drawings of a similar turntable design in the Pacific Coast Railway book by Wescott & Johnson et all . http://www.abebooks.com/9780961546748/Pacific-Coast-Railway-Central-Californias-0961546743/plp
Linkage pats are available from Diamond scale. Because cast pits can be out of round, I decided to cut a circle in my plywood sub-roadbed and line it with styrene to form the pit…
Here is how mine turned out. The track mismatch on the edge has been fixed.
Good luck with the project.
