I’m relatively new to N scale railroading. I’ve been using small sections of Bachmann E-Z track and Atlas Snap Track to this point. I have some Atlas Flex track and could use some tips on the best way to “fix” it in place.
Here are a couple of good articles from MR to look over:

I’d personally lay flex track where ever possible (as opposed to sectional track). It’s cheaper in the long run, will help with smoother track, and you won’t be restricted to specific radius curves.
Thanks to “MAbruce” for those recommendations. I’d also recommend an article from our August 2003 issue, “Quick and easy flextrack” on page 76. It’s about the fastest, simplest method I’ve seen, and it actually results in smoother track than using nails or spikes, which can pu***he track out of line and introduce unwanted bends and wiggles.
So long,
Andy
