Am starting a layout, and have a table four by eight joined to a table twofeet byeightfeet, then another four by eight table joined to that. have on each end a 22 radius curve, and want to know whats the best way to start laying the three foot nickel track around that curve, without making a kink in the joins, thanks. vic
You always want to have the “slidy” rail on the inside of the curve. Also, for the best results, solder two or three pieces of flex track (however many you need to complete the curve) together before laying them. It may sound strange laying a 9 foot piece of track, but if you solder it first, it will bend smoothly along the whole length and you will end up with a perfect curve.
And you’ll find that you’ll need to cut off some ties and some of the inside rail at the end(s).
