Layout Condition

Mine’s a work in progress & still in dreamland

Gordon

I’m also both but my layout is close to being done except for the details. Not alot can fit in 4X9ft with 2X4 extension.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Voted for combo. Tracks are in place; power’s on; trains do run; and my brother drops in regularly and criticizes everything (a sure sign I’m making some progress). Yet…I feel stuck. I’m sure what turn to make next. Could be that I’m afraid to do get too involved with scenery, structures, etc. right now because I expect to move in the near future–which would mean dismantling everything.[:(]

I know I should be downstairs working on that helix Gordon, but I saw this poll and just had to answer[:D]

I thought you were working on some wiring.swg

Finishing up the planning on a shelf. It is about 1.5 foot x 6 foot a side. (Corner) It will be used as a “in-between” until that dream empire can be started years from now. It will feature a harbor at one end and several hungry industries at the other.

Track will be code 83 with manual switches. The acqusition and construction of structures has begun.

If I can do it anyone can. Never let anyone say “No room” you cannot do it" etc

I checked work in progress for the HO layout .
The N layout has been done for years, (although it does need a bit of touch-up).
All the other finished layouts are gone. Sold or dismantled.
Of course I’m always dreaming of building another.
I need layouts for my O gauge an G gauge trains.

My layout will always be a combination of one and two.
Unless of course I actually model the entire North American Rail Network and then it will solidly be in stage two

My layout is just benchwork.

Combo for me. ihave track wiring and benchwork. i also have some mock ups of sturctures. but it is so cold out i haven’t worked on it in a while.

Benchwork is done and track laying is underway. I have enough to run a train and am working on the second track of the double track mainline which I hope to complete this winter along with the staging tracks. Each time I get something done I slow down to run trains for a while.
Enjoy
Paul

Just when I think I have it all figured out, i’m ripping out a section of track cursing my self for not thinking ahead enough.

When I woke up this morning and read Feb’s MR I realized “The freight yard is got to go”

[X-)] Any last requests?

Bigboy!
I am working on wiring!..track planning, scenery planning, track laying, running trains, keeping wife happy so I can do all the above… [:D]

I know the feeling Fergus. I’m now to the point where I want to double track a portion of the mainline & expand the 18" radius curve to at least 22" [:(] This is after the mainline is done & that 18" curve is partially obstructed by track work.

My layout is pretty much done, but no true train layout is ever completely done. I usually keep adding little extra details, etc. to it every now and then.

Benchwork is done. Laying track and wiring.

[:I] Armchair modelling most of the time [:I]

I just vacuumed, but it’s actually still “Yellow-Elevated” as there are some probable safety issues.

Definitely a work in progress - the track’s down, the trains run, need to finihe scenery and sort out the joint between the two boards as it’s still not quite right. Also need to finihe backscene - contemplating buying some of the Peco sky backscene paper to fini***he job as I’m no good at painting skies!

My layout is still under construction. Money, or the lack of, has slowed progress. The holidays, company came, and now saving for a vacation in March. [:(] Hopefully by April I will get back to building the layout.

On the Borracho Railroad the Benchwork is complete, main track wired and can run trains. Recently built a small yard extention that still neds to be wired, but the main body of work for this summer is scenery, and structures.

Done, completed, finished with nothing left to do. Now I’m bored with my trains… Oh well maybe I will find some thing else to model.
