I’m expanding my layout! It origionally was a 4’x8’ layout. It will soon be a 9’x8’ layout. I’m hoping to do it right this time so I don’t have many mistakes. It will probably have a river and at least four road crossings in it. It will also have another station to go along with my the station on my origional layout. It will have a roundhouse and a turntabe with two sidings. If you have any tips for me, feel free to post them!
Are you expanding the exsiting layout by adding to it, or just starting over with a larger space?
I’m adding on to the layout by adding another table.
Will it be connected with a short shelf layout so you can walk around both 4x8 sections or will it have some access holes in the middle. You surely can’t work on anything 9x8.
Dave, don’t make ther misstake I did with to big of a board. My bench is U shaped main is 19’ x 4’ main then 8’ X 5’ and 13’ X 4. Two of the sections are aginst the a wall, to say I gerate it is a under statement. Max you want is about 3’ 6" max to lay good rail. My board is a POS because I cannot reach all the rails without eithter leaning on it or laying on it![8]
Un less you are doning litf out section so you can work on the rails don’t go 9’ X 8’. Well if you can float over the board you will be OK.[:D]
Most Pro tracks are around 3 unless you can walk on both sides.
To big again, Cuda Ken
