Been missing you. Love that little engine. Great detail, as usual. When do we see pics of your latest diorama, what ever it is?
I think the sole purpose of those camelbacks, other than having personality,is to make it a personal hell for some poor fireman. Sorry for the downer, but I worked at lot of my life as a laborer and I just got through watching “Dirty Jobs”.
is the engine kitbashed or did you buy it because it looks very realistic.
Go to Bob’s website, he has a slideshow w/ a ton of pictures.
I have gone thru his website many times just love the fresh stuff!!! THank you Bob been missing your photographs also.

Bob, is your website still up?
They had the additional purpose of putting the engineer in the way of some serious harm if a siderod came adrift…[#oops]
Of course, the basic excuse for the Wooten firebox was the need for a LOT of grate area under an anthracite coal fire - which leads to my next [%-)] question. Where was anthracite mined in WP country? Or does Bob have an occasional hopper with RDG or NYS&W reporting marks unload at his coaling station?
As for the photo, I’m green with envy. Oh, well, someday - after I build my way out of the netherworld…[:-^]
