Town of Otten and the coalmine (mine building also kitbashed and scratchbuilt by Mike Otten)

It’s really taking shape. Good looking coal dock. [tup] Double decker, right? Perhaps an overall shot to show us how you worked it. I use blue rope lights (tucked up in my rafters) for “night” operations.

Thanks for sharing.

That’s a great looking layout you got going there.

You know I can’t beleive the amount of people using 027 track lately.

I just bought a small box of great Lionel “O” gauge track Thursday from a guy who made the comment,“Oh ,You really use that stuff ?”. I was like yeah, why are you switching to Gargraves or something, and he was "No 027,I don’t like the “O"gauge look.”.

So it must be that I’m a little behind the times [%-)]

The tracks by the city of Karolick look like they’d be fun to do some switching
on. Thanks for sharing, and keep up the good work.

Great layout - I really like both the track plan and the work you have put in on the scenery. [tup]

What a really great looking job! I would love to see the track plan, and overall size of the layout. Makes me want to go toot my whistle-- well maybe that’s a bit much in the middle of the work day–let me sell a valve first. But it looks good! How smooth is it making up trains and shifting cars?

Thank you all for the warm replies. The layout is 12.5" x 21" double decked. It has one large loop or can be run as three independant loops for show. It really is a switching type layout and I run the trains by train order sheets. I will post a full track plan in a few days.

Here is the track plan. Sorry for the drawing…not my strong suite when in a hurry!

there is ramp that runs along the back to connect the two levels.

hope you enjoy

As a side note, all the track is laid an operational. As of now we are working on the scenery around Andrew’s Corner and Otten. Williamsburg will be next. After the basic senery is done we will continue to superdetail the layout but for now I am wanting to get the layout on the 2010 Prototype Convention tour ( Cocoa Beach Florida) list and want just the basics done.
