Today my Western Pacific held a mini op session with fellow forum members and friends, Jeff and Marty, alias Margaritaman and Oakhurst Railroad. Jeff brought over his newly weathered Southern Pacific cab forward for a test run on my layout. BTW, she runs as good as she looks…
Ah man, how cool is that. I love my Cab Forward and the design has become my all time favorite. That combonation of engine and scenery is outstanding. Thanks for posting.
Very impressive work. I love the weathering and attention to detail. How large is your layout? What percentage of your layout is left to construct? I would love to see more photos of your work> Have you considered sending in the appropriate paperwork to the NMRA? Talk about a Master Builder Scenery, you are certainly one of them!! I’ll bet you would qualify for a Golden Spike award. Please, write more about the techniques you use for weathering, rock work, retaining wall casting, tree building, etc. Your public needs you.
You know what, I have to agree with you on that. I think Bob’s style isn’t one for everyone but even if it isn’t, you definitely have to appreciate it for the crazy amount of detail.
