Layout pics

Today my Western Pacific held a mini op session with fellow forum members and friends, Jeff and Marty, alias Margaritaman and Oakhurst Railroad. Jeff brought over his newly weathered Southern Pacific cab forward for a test run on my layout. BTW, she runs as good as she looks…

Great work Bob! Show us more. And what did you use for water and the falls. They are beautiful.

Very believable settings.

Try not to wear the plating off the wheels while she’s down there, ok? [:D]

Wow, Bob, what a great scenery set you have developing there! Truly stupendous. [:)] [tup]

Ah man, how cool is that. I love my Cab Forward and the design has become my all time favorite. That combonation of engine and scenery is outstanding. Thanks for posting.

Very impressive work. I love the weathering and attention to detail. How large is your layout? What percentage of your layout is left to construct? I would love to see more photos of your work> Have you considered sending in the appropriate paperwork to the NMRA? Talk about a Master Builder Scenery, you are certainly one of them!! I’ll bet you would qualify for a Golden Spike award. Please, write more about the techniques you use for weathering, rock work, retaining wall casting, tree building, etc. Your public needs you.

exceptional skills on display> very nice photos. (more coming?)

Matt

If there is better layout scenery etc I haven’t seen it [tup]

That third shot, with the cab against the waterfall, is truly a heroic photograph.

You know what, I have to agree with you on that. I think Bob’s style isn’t one for everyone but even if it isn’t, you definitely have to appreciate it for the crazy amount of detail.

Now can we talk about those streetlamps, Bob?

Bob

Your clearly the best modeler here in MHO, your layout is unbelievable. HO scale ftw [tup]

Bob,

You’re a bad bad man! [swg]

Great work! [8D]

Nick

You two sure have it down pat. Great job!

I am completely intimidated.

I love my layout, but i will never submit photos of it.

I cannot compete with work like this.

Great job !

Beautiful work! I have never seen a waterfall as nice as that one yet.
