Just thought I’d share this interesting tool I’ve been messing around with lately: http://sketchup.google.com/ to imagine layout design changes. It lets you build a 3-D structure and place it on Google Earth.
I love 3D cad programs and google stuff, this must be a winner. as soon as I finish learning ecabinets I will give this a try
Only had time to play for a few minutes…I never get to do simple squares and circles…usually things are truncated in some form or fashion…This seemed to take it all in stride, once you find the work arounds.

Im going to give this a try.
Maybe I will attempt to understand how best to assemble my town.
Easy to create blocks and columns, auto folding feature pretty neat.
Drawback: It really doesn’t like manipulating x-y arcs into the z-axis (radius inclines). Haven’t made this work yet.

Got it…Move from midpoint of line, but get error message trying to extrude arc surface.
