Today I finished cutting the track on the bridge for the liftout and connected the feeders. Time to test it out. I ran 4 loco’s over it for a couple of hours and so far things are smoothe. I’ll continue to run the rest of the fleet for the next week or 2 to check for problems before continuing.
A few pics. The white and pink made the light settings a bit difficult.
Be sure to open and close your gate a few times to test it for returning to the proper location. Also, be sure your trains STOP when it is open. Wouldn’t want those big locos taking a swan dive.
Thanks. It’s not hinged but a liftout. I’ve tried it several times and so far so good. I’ve had to tweak it with shims a couple of times and fingers are crossed. The bridge was the main reason for ripping up the section.
