Layouts & shops to visit in Phoenix area?

I’ll be in Pheonix in a few weeks. I will definitely visit the McCormick Stillman layouts.

Are there other layouts (clubs or private) that I could visit? I’m happy to introduce myself off-line so a total stranger is not being invited to a club or home.

Are there any hobby shops I can visit in the area?

While not a hobby shop or layout, but in Phonix suburb Chandler, there is a very nice train museum, the Arizona Railway Museum. It’s worth visiting:

My brother lives in the Phoenix area. On a visit about 10 years ago we went to Talieisin West in Scottsdale and after just walked around downtown. In a building in a park there was a club open house. I don’t know any more about it but worth looking up. It’s about a half hour from Phoenix.
