Anyone have any of the new LBF boxcars? I was loooking for a review.
National Steel 60’ Hi-Capacity Boxcars- RTR or National Steel Car 50’ Modern High Cube Boxcars?
I don’t have any of their boxcars but I do have two of the wood chip cars and three of there Boeing aircraft cars. Personally I like LBF and what they have to offer, but there are two things that I don’t like, and they are: 1) Cost. 2) Their truck mounts are not very good. You screw on the truck tight but the truck will still wobble. Just sitting on the track the car will tilt to the side, so there is some costom work that has to be done in order to make them perfect. Other than that, I think that they are good cars. I’m actually looking to purchase some more.
Zak ,hit the nail on the head . I have three of those boxcars {TTX}, love them other than the wheel sets. Buy them if you wish, LBF is pricey and their wheel sets suck but their detail is outstanding.
