Legacy or Conventional

I have a small 4 x 18 O gauge layout and I can’t decide about running it conventionally and wiring blocks and everything or just taking the simple but expensive way by buying Legacy. Is Legacy worth the money? I have read the reviews but I haven’t talked to anyone who has it.

About locomotives, I have about 10 locomotives but none of them are equipped with command-control. I also have a Lionel D & H GP38-2 with Legacy on its way (when they get it in stock) from Charles Ro.

If you want to access the full features of the one Legacy equipped engine you will own, you will need the Legacy base station and CAB-2. If the rest of your fleet is conventional, you will need to use either TPC’s or a newer model ZW to control the track voltage remotely to run the conventional engines.
