Legacy Update? Any Update?

It has now been 4 months since the October York show and still nothing from Lionel on the Legacy Update. Has anyone heard/read anything on when the update is going to be released?

Hi guys, on other forum the 1.3 is still in beta testing if all goes well hopefully it will be addressed on forum or I would think on lionels web page alerting all to its release. I had an issue and was asked to return my unit they tried the 1.3 update no joy and so even though my warranty had long since expired they replaced the unit for free, and I have it now and it works as it was supposed to so hang in there we’ve waited this long so if the update works it’ll have been worth the wait. they seem to want to be sure of the released upgrade that it will fix our issues so I can wait a bit longer.

CB&Q - I agree I would rather they get it right, but I also think they are trying to wrap too much into each update… but that is just the developer in me talking. [:)]

Brent ask this question under the Subject ( LIONEL to make good for the 2343’s F3’s and Damaged Boxes) This subject is from the Lionel staff. If you hear anything let me know. I’m waiting for the update before I buy the Legacy system.

jmkk, I rec’d a new legacy system from lionel it works I can go 20’ before red light issue comes into play I am enjoying running my legacy system with the original I had I had red light issues big time I don’t think I’d wait on 1.3 to buy as most units at stores have 1.2 I would think already installed most reported a big help most like myself had hardware issues that made the units not function correctly only my opinion but why wait if you could be having fun now?

Like CB&Q said I would not wait either. If you wait for the 1.3 update to be included in the new systems in stores you will be waiting, most likely 6 - 12 months longer. What I would do is purchase the system ASAP and register it with Lionel. If you register the system Lionel will be mailing the update to you automatically (if I remember correctly).
