I am ATTEMPTING to build a prototypical railroad (motive power track rolling stock and Hogwarts Castle out of LEGO’s the rest being actual scenery products ground foam etc). but here’s the problem, I can’t think of a road name or logo that would plausabliy allow me to run the Santa Fe Super Chief in Britain or allow me to keep the castle and put the setting in the U.SA. Please help me! I’d appreciate any suggestions!
Maybe some Native American medicine men could have pulled Hogwarts to the Southwest through floo powder, ending up in a campfire somewhere?
One of the great things about this hobby is that its YOUR railroad, do what YOU want!! There is no reason why you can have your castle in America, or have your Super Chief in the U.K.
Bend the rules a little, Have the Castle moved here (Heck, London Bridge is already here!) of fudge a little A.T.S.F. subsidiarty running in the U.K. See?? It’s easy!!![:D]
How does the “Atichson Topeka Santa Fe” Scottish Highlands Divison sound? I think it’s a little long. can somebody help me with the roadname and logo?
Set it in the USA. Pretend the castle is actually a Hollywood film set! If you run the Hogwarts train, then there has been precedence of British locos visiting the USA. I beleive that the Flying Scottsman and the A4 Mallard have run over here.
it’s actually really simple…
just model the coastline. on the southern beach, you’ll have the “Chunnel”, and on the western shore you’ll have the “Naunnel”
Then set up trackage agreements with all the appropriate railroads and you’re off!
sweet that would be cool to see.
