I got a P2K kit, an LV 8516 DD Box Car with an “AUTOMOTIVE” label.
I checked the usual sources for some proto photos such as fallen flags.com, rail images.com, and the RR Archives.com but came up empty… any other suggestions? All help 'preciated…

I found a picture or two in one of the Color Guide books published for many railroads - in fact I think there was a copy of the CNJ/LV one recently offered up for sale in a different forum.
Either way I never could find one that determined definitively that the paint scheme is completely accurate. It’s hard enough finding a picture of the car - one of the roof, forget it. The sides, ends, and lettering seemed to match the photo - it’s the roof color that’s in dispute. Given the lack of evidence, I just run mine as they are.
Note that this is one of the cars you need to carve away parts of the side sills as shown in the instructions.
