i love the LV and the railroad had several lines in Auburn, New York and hauled a lot of coal to the Great Lake port in up state New York…I loved the RED Color…
WOW! what else can you say…
That’s beautiful. Where’s it operating?
This program is just getting better and better. I bet the PC scheme will be a letdown though.
Kudos to NS…now If bnsf would do likewise!
What a beautiful paint scheme I rember so well.
I think this series is very exciting
A round of applause for the paint shop team at Juniata. Their bread and butter may be NS black-and-white, but they can do magic with any livery. And no lesser praise, either, for the other shops painting these heritage units. You’re all doing yourselves proud.
NS should issue a 2013 calendar with all the paint schemes or license someone to do a printing. I can’t recall the count, but I’m sure there’s enough to go around.
Just beautiful ! Almost reminds me of an old Alco 628
Lovely paint scheme! Cool ! Asa Packer would be proud!

I’ll line up right behind Seth Taylor to get my 2013 calendar with the heritage paint schemes.!!. With locomotive paintings already announced, there’s nearly enough for TWO years. If the archivists and local historians look again we may find a few more ancestral railroads to join the lineup. How about the Lake Erie and Western (LE&W, or “Leave Early and Walk”) that predated the Nickel Plate’s route southwestward across northern Ohio? CHUCK HILTY
Reston VA.
