Haven’t been to this one yet, but I plan on being there Saturday.
It’s not a big one, but it’s a good one. I like it because they have scale stuff on Saturday, and the toy stuff on Sunday (guess which day I’m goin’). There’s also a hobby shop in the mall, with reasonably priced train stuff.
OK, I just got back from the show. Not a bad show at all. I picked up some Athearn 70’ coaches in RDG livery, some C&O hoppers and some other freight cars - it’s kind of neat when you can fill your bag with $2 apiece rolling stock.
Also bought Benjamin Bernhart’s book The Reading Railroad’s Mighty Pacifics - awsome photos and accompanying text. Now I have to track him down and see if he’ll sign it.
The hobby store in the mall is going out of business. I went in but it was kind of crowded - you had to come outside to change your mind.
All in all, a beautiful day.
Hi all: Went to the show yesterday, Picked up a new Peco Double Slip (Actually I think I stole it for $20) to check out why the one I already have, doesn’t lock in position, like all the other Pico turnouts. It does have springs in it to lock the position, but they are covered pretty well so you can’t see them. They are not the same as the regular turnout springs. Now I have to decide wheather to change the whole thing or wait to see if the other one gives me problems.
Also picked up a Video on the EL railroad.
Most of the prices were reasonable, alot of $5 cars with KD’s and metal wheels.
