While searching internet for good values to upgrade my DCC system, I came across the http://www.leisure-time.com website. At least for MRC DCC items, they had by far the best prices. But before I order, I would like to know if anyone has had experience in purchasing model railroad equipment from them. Thanks.
I just tried to connect but the page won’t load. Not a veryt promising start.

I get the same response – the web page cannot be found. Something is not right with this URL. If you type it into Google without the hyphen between the words, you get a travel agency site. With a space between words Google turns up one with the words “Pet Supplies” and “hobby,” among others, in its description; but then “The web page cannot be found” message comes up when I click on the link to it. I would definitely shy away from trying to purchase anything from a site like this that is trying to sell everything imaginable. If the item turns out to be used and non-functioning, they probably won’t respond to complaints. Approach them with your 10-foot pole in hand.
Thanks for the replies. I just re-checked my original Google inquiry early this morning (Sunday, March 4, 2007) of “prodigy advance wireless” that took me to leisure-time Google cache www.leisure-time.com/mrc.htm dated 26 Feb 2007. Something’s obviously happened to the website since then because I can’t bring it up either. Not a good sign, but still interested if anybody has bought anything from them in the past in case the site comes back up.
Web site is working for me right now.
Just wanted to see if it was the shop in Nanaimo, but it is not so can offer no opinions.
Never mind. I’ve just found all items listed cheaper at wholesaletrains.com and I’ve ordered from them successfully in the past. Again, thanks for feedback.
Never heard of them but, their prices is compatible with the leading on line shops.
Well, their site is back up as of Sunday afternoon. Pet supplies, hobby items, beer making supplies, and wine making supplies. What a combination. I notice that they are in Champaign, Illinois. That’s also where Horizon Hobby, the owners of Athearn and Model Die Casting is located. Coincidence?
