Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

My county has been declared a level 3 snow emergency meaning only emergency or essential travel allowed on the roads. NO PROBLEM. Enough food, beer, and Jack Daniels for 3 days, plenty of projects to complete and Duke-UNC don’t play until tonight. Life is good.

Uh… just being technical here, but IF you’re under a level 3, then you’re not actually in Utica or Licking county…lol. I agree though, this snow has packed a wallop ! Did you too have thunder & lightning all night ?? Hanover here.

It’s just now reaching me here in PA. Lots of mean wind.

I live just outside Utica across the county line, but my mailing address is Utica. Knox is in a level 3. There is one street in Utica which does extend into Knox county as well so there are a handful of folks who live in Utica and Knox county.

As for thunder and lightning, if we had it, I slept through it which is normal. I did have a scare this morning when I woke up. My dogs have a pet door and the run of the property but my old girl is on her last legs and when she didn’t answer my call, I was afraid she had fallen down, couldn’t get up, and been covered by a snowdrift. I looked for her for about an hour before finding her under the porch. It is the first place I looked but she apparently had taken refuge behind a pile of lumber to get out of the wind. She can’t make it back up the stairs to the pet door any more so once she goes out, she stays there until morning. She loves cold weather and I can’t keep her inside during the winter. It was a big relief when I finally found her.

It’s just crazy weather for all. I was just messin with ya in regards to the level 3. Upper Licking & Knox always gets hit hard all the more than the rest of us it seems.

We actually had snow here in Texas yesterday. Granted, it was too warm for it to stick and only fell for an hour or so, but it was cool to see. It’s a rare thing here where I live!

Gee, I feel for you guys! Bright sun and tank top temperatures here - and the eye candy at the Post Office was unusually sweet this morning.

Yea, it isn’t much prettier up here on the north coast of Lake Erie. I just spent the past hour and a half shoveling a foot and a half out of my driveway. And I know I’ll be back out there again this evening (if not before), just to keep on top of it.

Thankful for a warm home. [:)]

Yeah, and while your frying an egg on the hood of your car, I’ll be sitting in the shade watching my vegetables grow.

Clear, sunny, 65 and a light breeze here in Monty. Give my regards to Frosty the Snowman. [:)]

Ashtabula, Ohio here…about 18 inches since last night, and no end in sight. Looks like a good time to do some painting.

Or maybe go make some snow angels?

We got 5" last night in Southern middle Tn. VERY unusual! Now it’s 50 degrees and sunny and the snows almost all gone. Crazy weather![:P]

I hope this is the last snow of the year. I am still fighting the flu and this doesn’t help. Right now its only about 1 1/2 or so. I think I’m in for the day, and hit up some cars to be weathered.

Then again, it is 44F here in the Great White North at least in my neck of the woods and teh snow is almost gone.

Weather is pretty yucky here too,

but it never ceases to amaze me how much the children love it, we see as adults a major inconvience, but they seem to find huge enjoyment in it, We all probaly could learn something from them [bow]

Lancaster county Pa here. 60 warm and sunny degrees now, but a bit muddy from 2 days or so of rain. calling for mid 20s tonight.

Get ready for the change, Ken…

Got up this morning to go skiing. I checked weather dot com and found it was allegedly freezing rain outside. Then, I went outside and saw the bright blue sky. Well, that’s New England (central Maine, right now) for you. The skiing was beautiful all morning (some of us adults like to play in the snow, too) and a great deal of fun. About 1:30 the rain started, and I took one last lift up to get back to the hotel.

Tomorrow, they’re calling for howling winds and light snow. I’ll go with the snow part, but I hope their forecasting abilities hold as far as that wind.

I just got in from snow blowing the driveway, again. I live right beside a corn field and the wind blows huge drifts into my driveway. My wifes Escalade had a drift almost right up to the top of the front fenders, lol. My street isn’t even plowed yet.

Fool that I am, I shovelled thinking it was slowing down. Just about finished when it whited out, nice. I understand we are getting the edge of this up here north of Toronto on beautiful lake Simcoe. I think its beautiful or was before it froze over. got enough beer and mix therefore the basics of life mean I dont have to go out.
