Let's see who can explain this passenger car name

“Grovewood Grove”

Hint: I’ve been decaling today, some newly released passenger cars.

Well Amtrak has shops in Beech Grove so I assume it’s a place name somewhere in that same area.

It sounds like an Amtrak California car?

Yes…it’s the name I gave my 4th Amtrak California Surfliner car. Walthers only gives you 3 names (in 1:1 scale there are only 3) I used a “River” from leftover USP decals for the Cali car #4.

Wait a minute, you already have a Cali car? I thought it wasn’t available yet? Where you get it?

The person determining the name was OCD?

Was it senciled on by the same (prototype) SR painter who stenciled a gondola SOUTHEUT?

Saw that prototype photo in Trains decades ago - and I still smile every time I think of it.

Also you clearly play too much Grand Theft Auto when you should be playing with trains. [:D]

You guys are waiting for the second run, I bought out the first one (aparently) no one else got them in April. I’m waiting to see if Athearn puts out the F59PHI Surfliner Anniversary scheme with prototypically correct typo “Millon Riders”.
