I bought a LGB 0090 P2P on Ebay in the hope to create a trolley line. )Of course, it did not come with any instructions. A search on-line turned up nothing. I understand the the red and black wires go to the transformer (DC) but need help with how and what else is necessary to hook it up to the track. If diodes or resistors are needed and if so which ones?? etc?? Any help with this older model would greatly be appreciated…
Possible “Brain Cramp” in progress, I’m having problems remembering what the LGB 0090 P2P actually is. I’m assuming P2P translates to “Point to Point” and do not recall LGB using that term (which is the reason I say brain cramp in progress.) If you have their “Auto-reversing” unit, you should have three parts, one electronics board (inside End of Track Bumper) and two short sections of track. These two track sections have one rail that is cut in half with a “diode” joining the two halves of the rail. If this is what you have then just put the “diode” sections on the same side of track at both ends. The “diode” allows DC positive current to run in only one direction. When the “electronics” board switches polarity the train will run in the other direction. To begin operation, ensure the “diode” section is where you want the engine to stop, then place the train somewhere on track as near the middle as possible. On the “electronics” board there are two blue dials will adjust travel time and delay time, play with them as needed.
