Hi guys,
I need some help. Has anyone changed the couplers on these cars, and if so what did you find worked best? I’m having trouble with the LGB couplers. I would like to keep knuckles on them because they just wouldn’t look right with hook and loop.
Thank you,
Mark
Here are some pictures of it running at Fairplex.

Superchief,
That is a gorgeous train! [8D][tup]
In case no one here is able to help you, consider contacting the model railroad dealer listed. One of the store’s reps is familiar with LGB and Europeon equipment:
Here is the link to their website http://www.hrtrains.com/
The street address and phone number are listed below:
H & R Trains Incorporated 6901 US Highway 19 N, Pinellas Park, FL 33781 Telephone: (727) 526-4682
I hope this is helpful,

Your’re welcome, Superchief [:D]
If you contact them, please post back and let us know how it went. Let them know that you’re calling or emailing from Florida.
Thank you Mike. That looks great. I think that might be the direction that I have to go. I would assume the cars look better being closer together, do you have trouble with turns at all?
Thank you,
Mark
Hi Mark , thanks. Yes the cars are closer together and it does improve the look . My railroad uses 20’ diameter curves and there is no problem on the curves . I have one car with Kadee G scale and one with their #1 guage couplers . The #1 's are smaller and look better but I have noticed that they can’t handle longer trains as well . They will pull apart under heavy loads . I will only use the G guage couplers from now on . If your trains are short then go with the #1’s.
Then I’ll probably have to use the g scale couplers. The train has 5 lgb amfleet, 1 material handling car, and 1 aristo baggage. But during the fair we like to add 4 more amfleets that were donated to us. So it looks like I have my new project after Septmember.
Thanks for the help,
Mark
