Has anyone else installed a MTS decoder into one of these engines. I received my LGB club Santa Fe Forney today and I wasted four hours trying to get the decoder installed. It does not appear to fit! Any help and feedback would be truly appreciated.

I am also having trouble getting the engine back together. The front end of the boiler will not line up with the back end of the boiler during reassembly.

I will not be of much help here, i have not tried to fit a decoder for the very reason that you have had problems with. I know my limitations and doing this sort of thing isn’t what i am good at.
