On the Digitrax web site someone mentioned that LGB made a graphite paste (they still do-I checked) for use on track connectors to improve electrical conductivity and mitigate corrosion. Has anyone tried that with our smaller scale track?

well I did use aristocrafts graffite paste on large scale and would only say if not very carefull youll be cleaning the stuff off everything for years to come. I would have know interest in trying it in ho and would not advise someone to try it with out a stern warning of negitive affects <…Jerry
If you’re thinking about using it on HO track, forget it. I tried it some time back and it was an unmitigated nightmare! Even a tiny bit is enough to squeeze out of the joins and get on the wheels and it’s no traction city after that.
Ooookay-so much for that idea! Thanks, gentlemen!

LGB´s graphite paste is meant for outdoor use, “hopefully” improving conductivity on the rail joints of LGB´s brass G scale track - useless! Soldering wires between adjoining rails at each joint is the better (and only) way!
For indoor use on a HO scale layout, I´ll join the chorus of saying 2better to stay away from that stuff"!
