I am using LGB Track for my layout. I am running trackpowered, but I am moving over to the RCS system. I live in an area that gets 12 feet of snow per year. Can the track stay out year-round without cracking the LGB railjoiners. Or should I get different railjoiners?
I used LGB 1600 curves and Aristo straight track, (that’s all there was 20 years ago). I used a lot of conductive grease in the joiners. I didn’t have any problems till I rebuilt the layout all the screws in the Aristo joiners rusted and I had a heck of a time getting them out…
All ways use LGB track with plenty of grease in the joiners, you should not have any problems and all ways use loose ballast so track can move with tempreture change
I might try taking LGB and welding sections together to make a longer section of track. I’m out of parts, measure the back yard sometime and I’ll see what I can cram in there. (old friends)[:o)]
