Well they have a new owner it is Markin, so lets hope the ware house stock will be on its way around europe ASAP. We across the pond look forward to getting our hands on all sorts of stock[:)][bow]
I just hope its a smooth transition.
Theres still no word of what was there when Marklin actually took possesion of in Nurmburg, and I’m sure they wont be to talkative even after they’ve had a chance to do a detailed inventory.
Then theres the whole issue of LGBoA claims and how will that work out with respects to to the insolvency resolution.
What about the China production? Will that stay with LGBoA or does it revert back to Marklin?
Still a lot of questions floating around out there. One things for sure…The next 30-60 days will be very interesting.
Awfull,
Simply Awfull. And just as LGBoA started out with it’s Piko, Bridgeworks, and Brawa distribution.
This cannot be. I asked this is the MR forum, but ya’ll would know better. Will Marklin continue to produce LGB stock, unchanged and under the LGB name with the same boxes and whatnot?
Cheese
I suspect that will be the case, same box, same logo, dont fix what already works. Its been pointed out that this is what they did with Trix model trains. Whats still yet to be seen is whether Marklin aims for the high end of the market, like Accucraft, or the mass market like Bachmann or Aristocraft. I will be very interested in what makes their first catalog when they finally integrate LGB into their line. I suspect there will be a period of shipping NOS (new old stock) that was still in the warehouse when they took possession. They will likely do this in the interim to restarting production.
Still a pain in my rose bushes…[soapbox]
We on this side of the pond have been lucky with stock availability Track and turnouts are the problem over here. Its the wrong time of the year not to ba able to get some, so hurry up Markin and get the stock rolling[:)]
It’s amazing what’s turning up and from where. I bought an LGB buffer - timber with gravel in fill look alike - and it’s manufacturing mark is ‘Made in West Germany’. Now that’s been around for a few years in a warehouse somewhere.
Hi Toad ca I ask do you need the pic I find it hurts my eyes when reading your input. I must not be the only person that it afects Any one on the site that suffers from epilepsy it could trigger an attack. Just my point of veiw as wife is a nurse and knows about things like that
K.
Two Tone, being a nurse myself, it isn’t very likely that a person with epilepsy would have a seizure by looking for a few seconds at a picture. Especially when they take their meds. It would take more than that, more than likely. There are many more things that can cause them to have a seizure. Flourescent lights will do it, especially since they flash. Most of us don’t even realize that. But someone with epilepsy will see that. And it also depends on what is a trigger for that person. Not everyone has the same trigger for a seizure.
We all have different things that we like and dislike. And I’m not picking on you. There are many things in this world that we all get to deal with, like it or not. I like toadfrogs pictures, especially the banjo frog. Thanks for making him change.

Wakin up and seein my ex wife next to me in the morning used to give me seizures.
