I went over to one of my (not so local) hobby shop today, looking for a 51800 switch box. None to be had. While standing there lamenting about the scarcity of goods, in walks the FedEx guy with a big box. It was LGB!!! Inside were 2 of the 51800’s and two of the 50500 streetlights I’ve been wanting to put into the park with the gazebo. First LGB shipment in many months. Of course I bought all four items.
You know you could have left some for the other poor soul. [:-,] [:D]
I only took four of the boxes of stuff, there were well over a hundred boxes inside the delivery box.
You said hundred of boxes??? LGB is shipping it finialy…WOW!!! [yeah]
Well, your a good man, don’t care what Whats his name said about you! [:D]
Dont get too excited yet, from what I’ve been able to read, apparently most everything being shipped is NOS (new old stock) from before the insolvency, with track being the one thing where new production is occuring. We will have to wait for a new official catalog to see what will be made in 08
Thats what LGB does, at work were tasked with expanding a UPS shipping center in Oregon. They took out most of the stuff except a few pallets of boxes, there they sat threw the four month renovation, my last delivery I got currious and LGB was all over the sides of em. Couldn’t tell what they were but I wasn’t about to cut them open, though i realy wanted to take them home. Damm consoiousness. [|(]
There were NO cars, engines, or track in the boxes. Mostly all EPL devices, switch boxes (51750 51800), boosters (52750), auto reverse unit (10340), switch drives (12010), various lights (50500,50550,50560), bunch of wheel sets, and trucks.
Oh, I thiught there would be something better in them.
thats from LGB’s site under the “News” section on there main page [:O]
Would bet the stuff was in the warehouse NOS. Then again I been wrong before.
