I am replacing the coupler packets on my N scale Life Like GP20 switcher. Walther’s advised me today that the part is discontinued. Anyone care to offer any suggestions where I can get them if the manufacturer doesnt have them. I also checked my LHS and they dont have any either.

Discounttainsonline usually has some pretty good stuff. I’d also say try eBay.

look for a junker at a swap meet and with luck it will have all the parts you need for some time to come.
The prototype did this too (except for the swap meet part)

Hmm, good idea. I need some handrails for a P2K FA unit, and they’re probably also long discontinued. Metal replacements are available and would be sturdier for handling (you can’t pick these things up, EVERYWHERE has fragile details - all along the carbody and then the trucks too!), but would be lacking the fastener detail. Hmmm, I can probably live with that since I RUN my trains not let them sit on a display shelf.
